The Berlin-born designer was initially trained as a carpenter before he began studying industrial design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, followed by 10 years at Philips Design in Amsterdam.
In 2017, he founded his own studio practice and started working with renowned brands and manufacturers. Numerous of his collaborations have been honored with prestigious awards at international design festivals. In 2021, he was appointed visiting professor at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Germany. His studio aims to create contemporary and meaningful products for everyday life, by reducing complexity in form and function while striving to create objects that center on the value of longevity with a brand focus.
